Jukka-Pekka has done the walks to his talks and lectures. He is a seasoned speaker, and has been a founder of new openings in planets´ extreme ends, for example, Pyongyang Startup Week in North Korea (2017) and Burning Stories, a scienceart collective studying transformational festivals, such as Burning Man (2018 – ongoing). His expertise is grounded to the disciplines of entrepreneurship, entrepreneurship education and organisation science.
Jukka-Pekka´s speech and workshop content is always rooted on his peer-reviewed top-tier academic journal articles, such as Academy of Management Discoveries, Journal of World Business, Environment and Planning A, editing a special issue on scholar-activism in the journal of Sustainability and in Finnish in Hallinnon Tutkimus, Aikuiskasvatus and Futura (H-index 8, more from Google scholar). Wish to do collaboration? JP is interested in co-building impactful platforms, especially on openings that are blended with the fields of entrepreneurship, organizational science, and arts. His particular expertise is rooted on leading in extreme environments and building co-created volunteer initiatives that apply self-organizing governance models.
Earlier references on the above include founding and co-creating the WTSUP! Beirut, Pyongyang Startup Week and Burning Stories platform and Startup Circus, a blend of circus and pitching competition. He is a supporter of intentional communities such as the Embassy Network, Blivande Stockholm and Alter Ego and a regular contributor to Burning Man and Chaos Computing Club participatory culture communities.
